SERVE on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is an accomplished group of individuals with experience in the art world, educational non-profit organizations, and local politics. Members of the start-up Board are currently getting the word out in the community that Urban River Arts is open; collaborating with local museums and parks; networking to raise money with politicians, developers, corporations and foundations; and, providing oversight for fundraising, strategic planning, communications, program development and governance. The start-up Board is looking to attract more people from the community to serve so that its members reflect the racial and economic diversity of the neighborhoods that Urban River Arts serves.

VOLUNTEER in our center on St. Marks Avenue in Crown Heights or at an Exhibition or Special Event.

CONTRIBUTE to Urban River Arts by making a tax deductible donation.  Please donate on line via credit card or send contributions to Urban River Arts at 690 St. Marks Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11216. Checks should be made payable to  Urban River Arts.

Privacy Policy: When you make a donation or payment through our Website, URA may ask you to submit personal information (such as credit card information) so we can process your donation or payment. We use the credit card information you provide only to fulfill the transaction you requested. URA will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies.

Refund Policy

  • For individuals, tuition is due before classes start unless an alternative payment plan is in place.
  • For institutions, invoices are sent out within 48 hours of services rendered. Payment is expected within 30 days, unless an alternative payment plan is in place.
  • Withdrawal from class is refundable only under serious emergency. An administrative fee of 10% will be withheld from any withdrawal refunds after a period of three weeks.
  • Make up classes are scheduled directly with a URA instructor.
